THE TELESCOPE

Look out into the vast, vast universe of the internet! Or at least
the part of it THE TELESCOPE can show you. This page houses
links I find interesting or helpful. More will be added in the near
future. [click on the telescope to go back to the wreckage.]

SO YOU'RE AN ARTIST?

1st dibs: an online marketplace that sells goods from countless time periods. everything is wildly unaffordable, so i can't testify about using it for its intended purpose, but it's an interesting site to just scroll through if you're a lover of old things. some of the pngs on my website were things i found on this site.
the met museum: a fancy museum in new york, but if you're anything like me, you'll probably never get to see it. luckily, they have a website with a vast online catalogue. it's so great you can practically pretend you're there! i use some of their public domain art as pngs on here.
public domain image archive: an archive of public domain art, most of which is old. it has a very interesting scrolling feature. it's a great place to find images for your website, or to accidentally spend an hour going down a rabbit-hole of astronomy related art.
public work by cosmos: just like the website above. despite their great similarity, this one feels more pinterest-y to me, i'm not sure why. it also has a fun scrolling feature!

SO YOU'RE A BARRELMAN?

spotern: steal your favourite character's look... or find the video game jesse pinkman was playing in breaking bad (it's ps3 rage).
28:06:42:12: do you believe in time travel?
you are el: rata alada

SO YOU'RE CAREENING THE SHIP?

cinnimani's neocities tutorial: this taught me some basics about making a website on neocities. dead serious, if you watch this, you'll probably have enough knowledge to just get started with html.
cool text generator: as the name states, these fonts are very cool. troy is my favourite of the lot, and i use it on this website for the lyric side boxes.
dafont: loads and loads of fonts. i found the font i use here (w95fa) on this website. if you're a video editor or graphic designer, this might also be helpful.

SO YOU'RE A COOK?

tasting history with max miller: have i made any of these recipes yet? no. do i plan to? absolutely. the pirate playlist is calling me...

SO YOU'RE A SCRIBE?

brandon sanderson's writing lectures: these lectures have saved my ass about a million times now. i owe them a massive thanks. props to brandon sanderson for sharing his knowledge for free (as all knowledge should be)!

SO YOU'RE INTO SHANTIES?

radio garden: tune into radio stations across the globe. ancient fm is currently my favourite station.
